a>m och Transmission Boutique Label London proudly present The Black EP.
The ‘Black EP’ (cat# TRANS3110) features four brand new tracks, mixed by Lost Bit and mastered by Andreas Tilliander, and is the follow up to a>m’s well received debut ‘A Fascist Can’t Dance’.
Lead track ‘Dead Things’ captures a>m in somewhat reflective mood, pondering the nature of consumerism and tired ideologies, set to an amalgam of analogue synths and effects.
‘When Dying’ is a desolate and haunting hymn that bears a passing nod to Joy Division’s ‘Decades’. (Ft. Katarina Lans – backing vocals.)
‘Postmodern Irony’ is a more sanguine affair, reminiscent of classic Rough Trade era Cabaret Voltaire. The piece paraphrases a passage from Albert Camus’ ‘The Stranger’, which
will be familiar to fans of The Cure.
Closing track ‘Don’t Let It Happen’ features a cut up vocal from George Orwell speaking
about how mankind might respond to a (hypothetical) dystopia.

“Through uncomfortable, droning strains of harmony LIVMØDR manifests itself as a bridge between the howling chaos of mother nature, and as harbinger of her message to all that this damage to her earth will be met only with volatile retribution. LIVMØDR absorbs inspiration from an eclectic mix of black metal, electronic drone and 80s avant-garde – heavily leaning on messages of guilt, rage and pain through their soundscape filled environment, using heavily reverberated ethereal tones to further leverage their connection to the barren wasteland that awaits the future. “
Both acts will play live and The Black Ep is included in the price.
